Football Supporters

This presentation focuses on football supporters in Croatia. It begins with an explanation of recent changes in Croatian society and then provides an overview of changes in modern football (soccer). After explaining the theoretical and methodological framework used in past research and outlining the theory and methods used by Perasović and his colleagues, there is a discussion of findings in their ongoing ethnographic study of youth, politics and civic engagement in contemporary Croatia.
